Subject: Quick Jam And Bass Guitar Question
Date: Sun, 1 Jun 2008 20:08:13 +0100
Hi guys,
Just recorded a quick jam with my Tonelab and Cakewalk Powerstudio...
Here's the link:
http://www.btinternet.com/~diddymouse/messyme.mp3
I'm practicing this way by looking at different things i can do and stuff to
improve on...
My next purchase will be a bass guitar and was wondering what would be the
best option for this sort of music?
I'm only looknig to spend around £200,it's just for laying down bass parts..
Any advice and comments on the tune welcome,
regards.
David

After some testing at the store I went with the Yamaha RBX270 for that
kind of money (and for a similar purpose) and couldn't be happier. It's
strictly no frills*, but actually much better than I need(ed) and
inspires me to go further with bass. Chances are I wn't need another
bass until I'm _way_ better ...
*Alder body, maple neck, RW fingerboard, 24 frets, long scale, P & J
PUs, passive electronics with vol, blend, tone, decent hardware.
