Complete beginner

Sorry if this has been asked about a million times before. What is
the best material (online, videos, books) for a complete beginner like
me to learn the acoustic guitar. Want to eventually go onto the
electric, but thought I would start with a cheapo acoustic just in
case I am too backward to play an instrument.

Would like a tutor, but money is an issue at the mo.

TIA

You may want to take a look at Guitar For Dummies which you can find at just
about any bookstore. It teaches by assuming you know nothing about guitar.
It will get you started on your first chords and songs.

That's also a good book to give to hot-dog shredders who couldn't play a real
song to save their lives. Mail it to them anonymously - that'll get 'em.

If you want to play electric then buy one. You can get a reasonable
instrument and practise amp for the same money as an accoustic. Visit
a guitar shop, they'll have loads.

Buy a book like Guitar for Dummies and get a tutor when you can afford
it. That's what I did.
